Mobile App Development

Give customers access to your services on their phones. Byteable designs and develops iOS and Android apps around the tasks people need to complete.

Decide what belongs in the app

A customer app could support booking a visit or checking a request's status, depending on your service. These are possible scopes, not examples of published client apps. Start with the task people repeat and the reason they need an installed app instead of a website. Agree the first release's screens and supported devices before adding features that depend on location, notifications or offline use.

Plan the app and its dependencies

An app may need an existing backend or a new administration system. We scope that work separately from the phone screens, including account access and any external service connections. Design reviews establish the main flow and error states; staged development then makes those flows available for review with test data. Agree device testing and Arabic layout checks before preparing a release. Store review belongs to Apple or Google, so approval and publication dates cannot be guaranteed.

What to bring to the discussion

  • Describe the main user task and what confirms that it is complete.
  • List required devices and languages, including whether the app must work without a connection.
  • Identify the owner of backend access and provide API documentation if available, not credentials.
  • Name the person responsible for store accounts, privacy information and approving release material.

Keep the first release testable

For a hypothetical booking app, define availability rules and cancellation handling before designing a confirmation screen. If payments are required, the provider's access requirements and failure responses belong in the scope. Review what personal data is necessary and who can access it. Legal advice and compliance assessments require separate agreement; choosing a feature does not establish compliance.

Practical questions

Can an app connect to our current system? That depends on the available interfaces and permission to use them. Share documentation first; any investigation or backend changes need an agreed scope.

Who owns the code and store accounts? Agree source-code ownership, account responsibility and third-party licences in the contract, alongside release access and handover materials.

Does delivery include future operating-system updates? Do not assume ongoing coverage. Agree a support period, maintenance responsibilities and how later platform changes or new features will be assessed and charged.

Discuss the first release

Describe your app's main task to Byteable. Include the current system, intended users and budget constraints so we can discuss dependencies before defining delivery stages.
